The City of Barberton has extended the Emergency Small Business Grant Program to support Barberton Businesses that have lost income due to the COVID-19 Pandemic!

The COVID-19 Small Business Emergency Relief Grant Program, Phase II is a grant fund in the amount of $200,000 that has been created by the City of Barberton utilizing CARES Act funding, in partnership with The Barberton Community Foundation and The Barberton Community Development Corporation (BCDC) to assist small businesses throughout the City with a financial hardship imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Small businesses with less than 2 employees may qualify up to $5,000 and businesses with 2 to 25 employees may qualify up to $10,000 in CARES Act funding.

Businesses may apply for grants to address working capital needs
Must be located in the City of Barberton
Must be financially harmed by COVID-19
Must be current on all taxes
Business must have been operational for 1 year prior to March 15, 2020
Must be located in Low to Moderate Income Area or create or retain at least one Low to Moderate Income job
Per HUD guidelines, businesses that have received funds from the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) or the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) Economic Injury Disaster Loan Program for economic injury or other federal funds specifically related to the COVID-19 pandemic are not eligible for this program.
