Our Mission
The Planning Department’s mission is to implement the City’s Comprehensive Plan, promote positive community, economic, and urban development within the City of Barberton and provide excellent customer service.
***Notice of Zoning Permit Moratorium***
Barberton City Council passed a resolution that went into effect December 1, 2020 imposing a moratorium of no longer than one (1) year on the issuing of zoning permits for the following within the City of Barberton:
- Entertainment Device Arcades
- Used Car Lots
- Mini warehouse
- Limited Indoor Storage
- Dollar Stores
